Lost and confused

All my life I've known what I want to do, it's always been a big focus of my life; my future career. Whenever someone asked me "What do you want to be when you're older?", I've always answered the same thing; "A pharmacist.".

Now I am left lost and confused because all of a sudden, I can't be a pharmacist. It's not something I can simply change such as I failed my exams - I can retake them - it's that pharmacy simply won't be the same and I know I won't like the new pharmacy.

So that has left me with a question and a hole in my life, what now?

Since this question has come to light I've considered some career options such as a lawyer or an electrical engineer, but I can't find something that seems right.
